SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (MEDIA GENERAL/AP) — Friday marks one year since 14 people were killed and 22 others injured in a mass shooting at a holiday gathering in San Bernardino, California.
The Dec. 2 shooting took place at the Inland Regional Center as employees of the San Bernardino County Health celebrated the holiday season.

Syed Farook, a county health inspector, and his Pakistan-born wife Tashfeen Malik opened fire and were later killed in a shootout with police.
Most of those killed in the attack were Farook’s colleagues.
Investigators said he and his wife were inspired by ISIS.
Friday, community members will gather to remember the victims with speeches from religious leaders and law enforcement.
Police will hold a 14-mile memorial bicycle ride that will end near the site of the shooting. A brief memorial service also will be held there.
At 10:58 a.m., when the first 911 call was placed, San Bernardino County employees will hold a moment of silence.
“We just want to remember, honor and support each other,” county spokesperson Felisa Cardona told the Associated Press. “It’s going to be a difficult day for all of us.”
The city of San Bernardino will also hold a public ceremony Friday evening and the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians will light up an iconic arrowhead landmark in the nearby foothills.
